Throughout the summer, Patty and Bobby had four wedding celebrations! One in their home in Dallas, one in their home in Aspen, one in San Miguel de Allende, and one at their ranch in East Texas… we did photography for two locations, Aspen and Dallas. Margaux used to live and go to school in San Miguel de Allende so she was really hoping we could have accompanied them there also but we were already booked for that weekend. Well, Aspen was lots of fun as usual and Maroon Bells is a gorgeous background of course. After the celebration, they took us to all their favorite spots.

Manitou Springs, Colorado, Event Photography
We recently photographed a very exclusive reception at the Briarhurst Manor Estate where we have shot numerous times in the past. None of the guests were from this area but had traveled here from all over the country and were staying at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.
They wanted this to be a very private celebration so we chose not to post the pictures of the guests. You might think, “well then, what else is there?” Good question. But we have found that capturing the details of the evening for the Bride is also very important. There are so many things going on during her event that she hardly has a chance to see the outcome of all her tedious wedding planning such as the presentation of the food, the flowers, the cakes, the staff, the grounds, etc.. We capture all those details so that she may experience them later when she views her images. This is very much appreciated as Brides always tell us that their wedding day was a blur!

Loretta and Bobby’s Wedding at the Maple Manor Dallas, Texas
Their wedding/reception was at the Maple Manor, a beautiful Bed and Breakfast near downtown Dallas, Texas. It’s a cozy comfortable atmosphere with all the ingredients of an english country estate. We love it so much, Margaux surprised me (Houston) with a birthday getaway there.
Margaux and I took them over to the Crescent Court Hotel where we’ve photographed many weddings as well, a landmark five star property. We got some portraits as well as photo-journalistic shots with beautiful architectural appointments.
Meanwhile back at the reception…the fun is nonstop with Loretta and Bobby!

Rehearsal / Rehearsal Dinner
The Holy Trinity Catholic Church is absolutely beautiful. When doing rehearsal and rehearsal dinner photography it is very important to realize you are setting the stage for the next day. Margaux and I always instill a rapport with all the friends and family attending because we know these are the people they hold dearest. We create a flow of positive energy with the guests and it becomes a chain reaction. It’s a more relaxed atmosphere so everyone tends to let their guard down, allowing us to interact with the camera, creating a comfort factor for the big event the next day. For their Rehearsal Dinner they chose Maggianos restaurant, another hand picked jewel…
The Day of the Wedding (Preparation, Ceremony and Reception)
We arrived at the church and begin checking everything out ….rooms, lighting, flowers, candles, etc. Both Elisa and Nathan arrive and go to their preparation areas. In between photographing the groomsmen and bridesmaids we like to capture details and document the overall arrival to tell the entire story of preparation. A beautiful ceremony follows, things go like clockwork and after the formals we always whisk the Bride and Groom away for some creative ideas of them together at a couple places that we scouted out earlier. Many emotions as well as plenty of fun follow at the Adolphus Hotel. Elisa and Nathan enjoy our style of off the cuff flattering photography, better known by us as our fashion photo-journalism style. Everyone wants to look their best but you don’t need to slow down the flow of the evening to do so. All of the expressions, emotions, personality, character, interaction and the flavor of the evening will be awaiting them on their return from Jamaica. Enjoy…
