So we were busy settling down from getting all the photography orders out for our clients for the holidays… we hadn’t had time to decorate our home for ourselves or even buy presents for each other. So as Houston and I were feeling rather humbuggish, we heard a knock at the door and what a surprise…. some friends of ours delivered a Colorado Fur Tree with twinkling lights and decorations already on it.
So we had to get some presents to put under it for each other which was interesting to do with all the last minute shoppers.

Missy was gifted with a hand made shawl from a very dear friend of ours.

Missy and Huey remained transfixed in front of the tree for the rest of the season and thru January… they felt a union with the tree. They chose to only drink water out of the tree holder deal and they slept every night next to it.
I guess we have deprived them all their lives but never again… we have vowed to be festive and not be such workaholics during the holidays. We almost didn’t have the heart to throw away our tree but finally we had to at the end of January.Fred appeared on our porch to wish us a Happy New Year! We wish you and yours the finest year ever!
